The following details are to be provided to the Company at the time of intimation of Claim:
- Policy Number
- Name of the Policyholder/Patient
- Name of the Insured Person in whose relation the Claim is being lodged
- Nature of Illness / Injury
- Name and address of the attending Medical Practitioner and Hospital
- Date of Admission
- Any other information as requested by us

This relaxation is applicable for ManipalCigna ProHealth Insurance (UIN: CTTHLIP18045V031819), ManipalCigna ProHealth Select (UIN: IRDAI/HLT/CTTK/P-H/V.I/72/2016-17) and ManipalCigna Super Top Up (UIN: MCIHLIP20081V011920) policy.
Who is eligible for this relaxation?
Insured persons having Policy Start date between 04-09-2020 and 30-09-2020 (including both dates) are eligible for this relaxation.
My Policy Issuance date and policy start date are different. Which date will be considered for this relaxation?
Policy Start date will be considered for the purpose of this relaxation. Insured having Policy Start date between 04-09-2020 and 30-09-2020(including both dates) are eligible for this relaxation.

Are pre-hospitalization expenses covered for first 15 days of the policy for COVID claims?
No, Pre-hospitalization and hospitalization expenses will be covered after 15 days waiting period for Covid claims and after 30 days for Non-Covid claims. Claims arising due to accidents will be covered from day 1.
I am diagnosed with COVID and I have some other morbidity condition(s), does this relaxation apply to treatment of such condition(s)?
Yes, along with Covid treatment if there is some other morbidity condition(s) for which treatment is necessary to recover, then for such conditions this relaxation will be applicable.
Does this relaxation apply to HMB benefit under ProHealth Insurance?
Waiting Periods and Permanent Exclusions including Co-pay’s do not apply to Health Maintenance Benefit.
I am diagnosed with COVID, can I buy ProHealth/Super Top Up/ProHealth Select policy now?
Yes, you can apply for the insurance cover but issuance of this policy will be subject to underwriting.
Will there be any additional premium due to this relaxation of waiting period?
No, there is no impact on policy premium due to relaxation of “30 day waiting period”.
