The way you begin your day sets the tone for the whole day. Below mentioned small healthy habits will transform your morning routine into a healthy one:

Let’s start with the Dos:

  1. You might be facing difficulties in getting up in the morning. It is tough to get rid of the temptation to go back to sleep once you are awake. But there is a solution to this. Just stretch your legs, arms and back and take a few deep breaths before getting out of the bed. This will help you resist hitting the snooze button of your alarm which can otherwise worsen your sleep pattern.

  2. Drink at least two glasses of water as soon as you are out of bed. It hydrates your body with H2O it has missed while you were asleep. Water also kick-starts your metabolism.

  3. An early morning workout regime on empty stomach is very healthy. It guarantees following:

  • Better bowel movement and in turn, greater weight loss.

  • Increased production of the happy hormone or endorphins to help fight morning blues, stress, and lethargy.

  • Exposure to more sunlight which is an excellent source of Vitamin D – an essential nutrient required to prevent dementia and osteoporosis.

4    Follow the famous 20:20:20 routine as soon as you get up – 20 minutes of exercise outdoors + 20 minutes of meditation + 20 minutes of reading
(offline) something positive, inspiring and motivational.

This regime is all you need for a healthy body, healthy mind and healthy mindset right in the morning. Plan your day. Make a to-do list
every morning. It will not only help you recollect forgotten tasks but also help you organize your day better, which means less stress.

Now let’s get to the Dont's:

  1. Don’t touch your phone or laptop for at least 2 hours after you are up. This will not only help you with the 20:20:20 regime but also will be healthy for your eyes and keep you less frustrated.

  2. Don’t drink tea or coffee first thing in the morning as they are acidic and can hamper your digestion.

  3. Don’t skip your breakfast no matter what as it can increase your chances of obesity, high blood sugar and low immunity.
